Through meeting with you and speaking with all of those who might want to make a contribution to the service content, I will work with you to create a framework, a structure for your funeral service.

​

Together we will decide on the running order, music choices, poems, readings, and prayers.

​

You may need help with ideas for music and poems and I will bring a source library of materials for you to view.

The Tribute

The other important thing we will work on is the Tribute.  The Tribute is the central part of any service and is a reflection on the life of the person who has died. 

​

There may be many memories that you want to share and elements of the person’s life, their history, background and achievements that you would like remembered on this special day.

​

After speaking with you and any others you would like to share memories, I will write a bespoke tribute that brings it all together to create a meaningful picture of the life that has been lived. 

​

Interwoven with personal recollections and bound together by the overarching themes that will emerge in the course of our conversations, this will encapsulate the essence of their life in a memorable and respectful way.

What Kind of Service Can You Have?

The service can have a religious undertone, with prayers, bible readings and hymns, or be non religious with either a spiritual or entirely earth bound theme and atmosphere.

How Much Can You Do?

You may wish for me to conduct the whole service and guide the congregation throughout.

Of course this can include tributes and readings from those who might like to come to the lectern to say their own pieces in person.

​

Alternatively, you may only need your me to be a Master of Ceremonies, with a light touch, there to link the stages of the service from entry to the chapel to the committal.

​

If this is what you would like then we will work together to organise and rehearse the parts everyone involved is going to play.

How Does It Work?

After we have first got in touch, either directly or via your Funeral Director, we will meet in person (or via Zoom or telephone call if you prefer) to discuss the service and all of its content.

I will then produce:

• A running order with timings for the service, including your music choices

  • I will send this to you and to your Funeral Director

• A bespoke Tribute to the person who has died

  • this will come to you in an outline format, and then we will liaise regarding any comments or changes you would like to make

I will telephone you on the day before the funeral so that we can have a last chat about the service.

After the funeral you will receive from me a folder bound copy of the Tribute as a keepsake.
